There are numerous lakes surrounding Springerville, Arizona and the Round Valley. The lakes that are closest to Wenima Valley are:

  •  Becker Lake, one mile south, (Harry Truman Fished here), and Wildlife Area.
  •  Lyman Lake (swimming and watersports, seventeen miles north), and Lyman Lake State Park.  Features boating, water-skiing, swimming, paddle boats (rental), kayaking, windsurfing. 
  • Big Lake, (forty miles).
